LESSON 89

When Is Bone-Conduction Masking Needed?

In bone conduction, interaural attenuation is about zero, so an unmasked bone conduction threshold does not tell us which ear it belongs to. In this lesson we use sample audiograms to work through the bone conduction masking rule, how to read the air-bone gap, the occlusion effect correction and the two possible outcomes.
