LESSON 104

How to perform tympanometry

Tympanometry measures the admittance of the middle ear system while the pressure in the ear canal is varied. In this lesson we cover otoscopy and patient preparation, probe tip selection and the hermetic seal, the pressure sweep from plus 200 to minus 400 daPa, and the basic values measured (ECV, peak admittance, TPP, TW).
