LESSON 106

Tympanometric Values: Peak, Pressure, Width, Volume

The numbers on a tympanogram matter as much as its letter type. In this lesson we use examples to look at how peak compensated static admittance (Ytm), tympanometric peak pressure (TPP), tympanometric width (TW) and ear canal volume (ECV) are measured, their approximate normal ranges in adults, and the test conditions that affect the results.
