LESSON 33
Hearing by bone conduction
- Year 1
- Fall semester
- Physiology I
- Hearing physiology
- Duration: 10:25
How does vibration of the skull reach the cochlea? In this lesson we cover the compressional, inertial and osseotympanic components of bone conduction and why bone conduction largely reflects the cochlea directly. We also look at the Carhart notch and the clinical importance of the occlusion effect.
